Defining the Vocab Words

Theme: The central message of a story

Tone: The authors attitude towards the characters, the topic, and the audience

Mood: How the reader feels

Truth: If that which can be factorial verified in the world

Syllogism: Is the simplest and basic of a argument

Validity: A test of reason (does my conclusion follow my premise)

Diction: Is the words an author chooses to tell a story

Syntax: Arrangement of words

Transmitter: sends message

Stupid: Slow to learn

Adumbrate: To report or represent in outline

Apotheosis: The highest point in development of something

Ascetic: Someone who dedicates his or her life to pursuit an idea

Bauble: a small, showy trinket or decoration.

Beguile: charm or enchant

Burgeon: begin to grow or increase rapidly; flourish

Complement: a thing that completes or brings to perfection.

Contumacious: Rebellious 

Curmudgeon: a bad-tempered or surly person.

Didactic: Intended for Instruction
