How are you, really?

"How are you?" The question that is always asked after the "Hey" or "nice to see you" opener of a conversation. Those three words "How are you". Does it ever occur that we just say that out of habit with out even knowing we said it? Do we really want to know how their day is, or is it just a polite thing to do? Often, the answer to the question is "I'm good" or "I'm doing fine". But, are they really? I feel as if when the question is asked, the person says the emotion they feel at the moment they see that specific person. Not of how there day is.  I am starting to question why we say those things when we don't usually mean them. At occasions we do mean them, but at some instances we don't. We just want to break the ice with someone. I've noticed when I said "I'm good, thanks", i don't really mean it. Or at least I want to believe I am. Those words have  become embedded into me and became a regular "normal" response for someone expecting to hear that. The answers to a question "How are you" has a similarity to the poem Richard Cory. In the poem, he is a wealthy man who is always happy at every chance you see him. Anybody who talks to Richard has comfort around him. But the people who see him, they have only seen the mask of Richard Cory. Nobody knows what happens behind closed doors expect the person behind the door.

But I guess people cant really know how a person feels at the moment they see them. They just see what the person presents themselves to be. Robin Williams, who died from depression explained the emotion a person presents themselves to the people he or she cares about. He said "I think the saddest people always try harder to make people happy because they know what it's like feel absolutely worthless and they don't want anyone else to feel like that." I can tell from my experience that I don't want anyone to feel the same emotion I am feeling. You want the other person to feel better than you. Emotionally of course. So, the next time someone asks or you ask "How are you?" with a response of "I'm good." Do you/they really mean it?

Easy trick to learn, and cheap to buy

A few months ago, I encountered a trick that amazed me and also was really bummed out about how the trick was actually developed and manufactured. But I'm not here to tell you the trick, but to encourage you to see the trick and perform it as well. It's called "the invisible deck" where a spectator gets to choose any card from a borrowed deck or to think of a card. It will not sound satisfying if I explain it to you, but better yet show you the trick and how it is performed. And it is very cheap to buy, actually, i should say it is a steal off the market. You can buy it off from Amazon or a Magic shop. Enjoy!

Recalling Magic Trick/ Update

Sorry for the long absence, I've been busy with homework and college applications. I am at the home stretch and soon to being finished. But, i wanted to share a trick that I came across and actually learned. The name of this trick Is called"jeopardy".Where the spectator is given a choice to shuffle cards into a random order, then again. But some cards will be shuffled face down into face up cards. Making chaos or known as "Order in Choas". And just for a head ups, my school talent show is in a couple of months. And I am currently working on a couple of new tricks to preform. And with this trick presented, this is for sure one I will preform in the Talent Show. Stay tuned...

Its been a long time.....

It's been a long time since I last posted. I haven't posted in a couple of months now, I kind of forgot all about the blog. But I will try to get back to it if I can. Recently I found a youtube documentary about Weight Cutting. For the people that don't know what weight cutting is, its a process of dehydration that has the ability to lose weight in dramatic fashion. Not a lot of people know about weight cutting because its behind closed door, and not spoken of. The process is usually spent on MMA fighters. For example; let's say an MMA fighter is in a weight class at 145lbs. And the original weight they weigh without exercise is 170lbs. They have to lose weight by training for months. Now, let's say that MMA fighter has trained 6 months and lost 15lbs of his original weight. So, that person is at 155lbs.

They're done with their training and are sitting at 155lbs, and have to make weight at 145lbs. And there is a deadline they have to meet to do an official weigh-in for their fighting company, to see if they made weight or not. Now, that person who weighs 155lbs had not met the weight. And the weigh-in is TOMORROW (15 hours from now). They ran out of time and have to lose the weight fast. Now they have to go to a mental and physical state of dehydration. No water consumption at all for a whole day. They have to lose all their water weight in ONE day. All that water lost, is weight lost. It's a very dangerous method to go with and a health/fatal risk. This documentary displays the dangers and effects Weight Cutting can do to someone's body.
